Friday 5 September 2025
Dear Parents/Carers,
Due to the ongoing renovation work in the Main Hall, children will be receiving their awards in class starting on Monday 8 September with Attendance Awards.
For this reason, we are currently unable to welcome families to attend Celebration Assemblies until the renovations are complete. We know how much our families enjoy celebrating the children’s achievements, and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back shortly, you will be informed once the Main Hall is ready for visitors.
Changes to the Celebration Assembly Award Structure
In addition, we’re excited to let you know about a change to our award structure.
The Anchor Awards, Curriculum Awards, and Star Awards will now be presented on a three-week rotation in this order. Please see the example below:
- Week 1 – Attendance Awards 💯
- Week 2 – Anchor Awards ⚓
- Week 3 – Curriculum Awards 💡
- Week 4 – Star Awards ⭐
- Week 5 – Anchor Awards ⚓
- Week 6 – Curriculum Awards 💡
- Week 7 – Star Awards ⭐
- Week 8 – Anchor Awards ⚓
Changes to Home Learning
As you will have seen in your child’s Home Learning Passport, all home learning must now be submitted via Google Classroom, with the exception of competition projects which are submitted to your class teacher. If you are unsure of your child’s Google Classroom login details, please speak with your Class Teacher in the first instance.
With this above change in mind, we will no longer be holding Home Learning Assemblies at the end of each term.
I look forward to welcoming you into school in the very near future for assemblies and to seeing you all here for the forthcoming parent consultations week.
Yours Sincerely,
Julie D’Abreu | Headteacher
