Early Closure: Thursday 26th January 2023 for School Open Afternoon
We would like to invite you to an open afternoon on January 26th to visit the school and see your child’s work in their classroom with your child. During the open afternoon your child can show you around our school. Please put this date in your diary as we will be running two sessions for you to book into 1:30pm-3:00pm & 3:00pm -4:30pm. On this day the school will close at 1:15pm to all children in Reception – Year 6. Nursery will be open as normal.

Leavers
We have two teachers leaving the school at the end of this term, Mr Joyce, Forest School Teacher & Ms English, Opal Class Teacher and Leader for EYFS & Year 1.
We have benefited greatly as a school with the work Mr Joyce has done in both the development of our science, engineering, technology, arts and maths (STEAM Engine) and our Forest School (March Wood).
Although Ms English has only been with us for just over a year, during that time she has worked to support our youngest children to have the best start as they begin their learning journey.
We know that you will join us all in wishing both our departing Teachers all the very best.
Opal Class
We are delighted that Ms Georiades, will be taking on the role of Opal Class teacher from January and will be our new Leader for EYFS & Year 1. Many of you will already know her as she has been teaching in our school for a number of years, currently as part of the Forest School Teaching Team and as Year 3 Class Teacher. You will have an opportunity to meet Ms Georgiades during the open afternoon in January.
Coral Class
Ms Halima, who currently teaches with the Year 6 Team will be moving into Coral class full time from January, so not only taking over Ms Georiages role but also adding teaching capacity to the class across the whole week.
Outdoor Learning/Forest School
Mr Thomas will be leading our Outdoor Learning Programme, along with the teaching support team from your child’s class.
