Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of your child’s extended music provision, the Year 6 drumming group will be attending a school trip:

| Travel: | Walk to W3 bus stop, bus to Wood Green underground station, Piccadilly line to South Kensington station, follow signs to venue |
We will be leaving school at 1:30pm to travel to the venue and rehearse ahead of the show which begins at 7pm and finishes at 9pm. Due to the late finish parents and carers are required to collect their child directly from the Royal Albert Hall at 9pm. We will be waiting in the Green Zone (please follow link) RAH Schools Plan – Parent Letter – GREEN ZONE. Please arrive promptly to collect your child and note that staff will not be returning to school.
What happens on the trip?
During their visit, the children will perform along with hundreds of other musicians from Haringey, including a special drumming piece written by our very own drumming teacher, Harry. Parents and carers are strongly encouraged to purchase a ticket for this once-in-a-lifetime event. Please note the following:
- Please provide a healthy packed dinner for your child.
- Children must be dressed in plain black trousers with school t-shirt and jumper on top, including black school shoes. They will be provided with a Haringey t-shirt to wear during the concert.
- A waterproof coat must be provided.
REHEARSALS – Sunday 27th March 2022
For those children able to attend, rehearsals will take place this Sunday at Hornsey School for Girls, Inderwick Road, N8 9JF. Please arrive for 12:30pm ready for the start of rehearsals from 1pm until 1:45pm.
