Dear Parents/Carers,
The Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) for Year 4 children will take place during the week of:
Monday 5th – Thursday 8th June
The purpose of the MTC is to determine whether pupils can recall their times tables fluently, which is essential for future success in mathematics.
You can support your child to prepare for their MTC by practising the times tables at home every day, especially over the upcoming half term break.
Our school is subscribed to Times Table Rockstars, an online learning platform which encourages children to practise and develop their times table knowledge in an exciting way. Please support your child to access this app/website from home. If you need support with the username/password for your child’s account please speak to your child’s Class Teacher as soon as possible.
We have included below a times table chart and multiplication square which you can also use to support your child at home. Further information on the MTC can be sourced on the gov.uk website.
