At Devonshire Hill we understand the importance of Computing and the use of information and communication technology in an increasingly digital world and workplace.
Information technology plays an important role in the delivery of the National Curriculum across all subjects. Children at our school have the opportunity to use a range of technology to learn about Computing and support their learning in other subjects. Every classroom has an interactive whiteboard and Wi-Fi access is available throughout the school for teaching and learning. Trolleys of tablets, netbooks and laptops are timetabled to be used throughout the school and maintained by our on-site IT technician.
To ensure that all pupils can understand and apply the fundamental principles and concepts of computer science, including abstraction, logic, algorithms and data representation.
To ensure that all pupils can analyse problems in computational terms, and have repeated practical experience of writing computer programs in order to solve such problems.
