The catering team at Devonshire Hill are passionate about cooking fresh food from scratch and are keen to ensure the children enjoy their lunch.
We are proud of the quality and variety of the food being served at our school. All food can be traced to source and is freshly prepared and cooked each day. In addition to a meat and a vegetarian option, the catering staff provide a salad bar, fresh bread, yoghurts and fresh fruit platters every day. All meat served in school is halal.
A different three-week menu is prepared every term with feedback from children contributing to what is offered. The current menu can be viewed here. Theme days are also run throughout the year and for special occasions. Recently, the school organised an afternoon tea party in celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday.
School meals are £2.30 per day. Payments can be made by following this link or can be made at the School Office during office opening hours. Payments must be made in advance and should be for a minimum of one week (£11.50). Parents/carers who are eligible for Free School Meals must complete the relevant form and return it the School Office. Please note that eligibility must be verified before free school meals can be offered.
Parents and carers must inform the school of any changes to meal preferences by completing a Change of Meal Preference slip available from the School Office. Please note that if you do not inform the school, meals will continue to be ordered from the catering service and you will be expected to pay for these.
